One of the first forms of art I was introduced to in my life was Photography. As a gift from my father, at the age of ten, I was given a Canon AE1 film camera to start learning the techniques of photography. Throughout my childhood, the family was involved in many outdoor activities, such as Hiking, Camping, and Boating. These early adventures influenced me later in life to continue to explore areas near and far, to find the most beautiful landscapes to photograph of the world around us. After traveling to many places around the globe, I find that most of my favorite places to photograph are out in the American West. From the National Parks, to the stops along the sides of those long country roads, you can find a never ending supply of natural wonders.
Most of my professional life has been spent working in Post Production. Having spent the last 22 years of my career working in the Entertainment Industry for some of the largest Post Production houses in the industry, I have developed an eye critical to the details, working as a specialist in the field of Dynamic FX simulations, creating the destruction you see in feature films such as The Incredible Hulk, 2012, X-Men Apocalypse, and multiple entries in the Fast and Furious Franchise. I have been involved in a number of commercial projects, Television series, music videos, and have been nominated for multiple awards and won a Clio for my contributions in the advertising industry.
I am now shifting my focus back to the first form of art I was introduced to, Photography. It is a passion that allows many of my interests in life to merge together. Roadtrtips to scenic destinations, Hiking during the day to find the perfect space to photograph, nights looking up under the stars from a dark campsite, and cutting edge technology in the camera gear and post process that comes after the trip has ended. Over the last few years, I have enjoyed painting as well. I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoyed creating them. The journey has always been worth it.
